John is regularly nominated as one of the country’s top wedding photographers by some of the best bridal wedding sites. His work has been featured by international bridal blog sites of over 1 million people and is known best for his easy going, friendly and relaxed nature which enables to get the best candid images.
During Covid-19, John was interviewed by Newstalk FM due to his brides commenting that even though they had to change dates or sometimes cancel, he returned the deposits without being requested which was a feature on the show for he bucked the trend of many couples wedding suppliers. John's opinion was that he believed it would only bring 'Bad Karma' by trying to mess around with a couple in need.
The Wedding Crasher!!!
In August 2015 the night before a big wedding John had planned with the bride for nearly the year previous, John, while riding his motorbike out of Howth was involved in a hit & run which seen John in Beaumont hospital with three broken ribs and dislocated fingers. After a post of social media, the lovely bride quickly became aware that all the plans and her photographer would be no more for her big day. After pleading and begging with doctors explaining how important the next 24 hours would be, the lovely medical teams, on the assurances that John's assistances would be doing all the lifting the next day, medicated him up and allowed him to be discharged from hospital to enable him to keep to his commitments.
The bride Keira broke down when seen that her day would not be disrupted when she answered the door to John that morning, still with the hospital tags on his wrist and his hand (all but 2 fingers wrapped up) smiling at the door. All the family and guests on the day had great amusement having pictures with John in the evening and requesting available future dates for their own special days. From that day, John gained the nickname the 'Wedding Crasher' to ensure that no one was going to spoil any bride’s day. John no longer rides his motorbike.....
